Hey everybody,
I am new here. I live in MD and have operated a one man residential plumbing service business for 16 months. Things have gone well, i have not had any real slow times since i started. I have built a solid online reputation.
I need help in understanding the smartest way (financially) to start growing. I have a nice 2012 Ford e250 van that i work out of, looks very professional. I previously worked for a large service company that utilized Ford 350's with the Hackney P2000 body. I would really like this to be the setup i used from here on out. Nothing beats it in my opinion.
So i was thinking in a few months, start the process of hiring my first technician. Once i hire one, have him ride with me for one month as a type of onboarding. He would need to learn how to use the flat rate system i use (PROFIT RHINO).
Once i am confident he can work on his own go ahead and purchase my next vehicle.
Once it comes in, put him in it and fill his schedule for 40 hours. Whatever is leftover i can handle. This would start giving me time to prepare the next step which i think would be hiring a CSR.
What are your thoughts?
Thank you so much,
Alan
