  • OSHA Proposal is Kicking Up More Than Dust

OSHA is proposing new regulations to lower the allowable levels of crystalline silica, the dangerous “dust” that employees could be exposed to when products like metal-castings are grinded. Many argue, however, that the potentially high cost to implement the changes could be devastating financially, especially to construction-related companies, and that better enforcement of current levels of allowable crystalline silica would be more effective.
